Legal Question in Business Law in Nevada

Affordable way to incorporate in Nevada?

Is there any affordable way to incorporate in Nevada in order to keep a business going while living overseas and have an actual business address? There are many companies and forms out there to do it. Does anybody suggest a legitimate form package, or company? We heard of Nevada State Corporate Network, Inc. in Las Vegas. They offer all these services for $774 or so including building business credit, assett protection, incorporate your co. in Nevada, business address etc. We don't have this kind of $ and wonder if it's reputable and legitimate. Any advice?

I set this type of thing up all the time for clients. We have a NV attorney and FL is another good option.

If you need assistance, our firm can do so. The incorporating, as a cheapest form, would be MyCorporation.com.

Otherwise, take a look at our firm's information at RulesOfEmployment.com and let me know if you need assistance.

Re: Affordable way to incorporate in Nevada?

The cheapest way to incorporate in Nevada is to hop in your car and drive to Carson City and file the papers yourself. Of course, that presumes you know what you're doing.

I wouldn't form a corporation for the sole or primary purpose of having an address while living abroad. If the mail is important, have it sent to your overseas address. Companies that provide registered agent services are not forwarding or secretarial services although they might do that for an extra charge.

Don't for a corporation unless you need the corporation to own and run an actual business. A corporate shell will just subject you to periodic inquiries from taxing authorities and report-filing obligations.

If there is truly no other way to get business correspondence sent you on a regular and reliable basis, consider using a secretarial service that makes this a regular line of business, and get an agreement in advance as to what will be forwarded, how often, where, and at what cost. Try Mailboxes Etc. for one.

Also don't overlook that much international business is now done by FAX and email.

$774 sounds too high for what you'll probably get, which will not include any personalized services by an attorney.

You may want to read over an article I wrote that addresses some of your concerns / issues:

Best of luck with your business venture.

I can't comment specifically on the service you ask about, due to lack of experience. Oddly, they note that Microsoft Corp. is a Nevada corp. - as can be seen here, it appears to be a Washington state corp. (where it's headquarters are), so initially they would apear to be 0 for 1 on facts I checked on their site: http://kepler.sos.ca.gov/corpdata/ShowAllList?QueryCorpNumber=C1868807
