Most of the information you seek is available on the official website of the Nevada Secretary of State. Once you have formed an LLC, however, that does not necessarily mean that you will have any real benefit of limited liability. You will have to follow several corporate formalities in order to ensure that the LLC is not deemed an alter ego of the individual(s) who operate it. Also, you will need an operating agreement to outline the duties, rights and obligations by and between the owners and operators of the LLC. Without a well-drafted operating agreement, you are essentially inviting future litigation, which could cost you much more in the long run (as they say, an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure). Whether or not you decide to form the entity yourself (which is not diffuclut to do), you should consult with an attorney so that you can be apprised of the necessary formalities and potential pitfalls associated with limited liability entities. Otherwise, all of your hard work in setting up your own LLC could prove to be a complete waste of time and effort, particularly because your entity might be treated in court as a sole proprietorship (or alter ego, exposing you to personal liability anyway) in the event that your company is deemed liable for damages.
