Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Nevada

I received an ORDER ALLOWING EXAMINATION OF JUDGMENT DEBTOR from Nevada Court. Is it too late to make payment arrangements with the creditor during the hearing?? Is my used car at risk?? My car is used and I own it for $2200.00.

The point of a judgment examination is to find out where you work so the creditor can start garnishing your wages. If you have $$$ in the bank, they are also interested in where you have your account.

Your car is protected under Nevada law, as set forth in NRS 21.090(1)(f), as long as it isn't worth more then $15,000.

If the amount of the judgment is substantial, you might want to consider Bankruptcy to resolve your debt problems. Bankruptcy is still available to help people avoid overwhelming debts.

Good luck!
