Recently I was in a depatment store with my little sister, we were in the jewelery section for a few minutes, then decided to go look at shoes. At this time my sister was stealing a $25 ring, I had no idea she was doing this untill just as we were getting ready to walk out of the store she hands me the ring, I look at it and STUPIDLY continue to walk out of the store with it and we got stopped and taken to the stores back room, and I immediatly gave them the ring and they insisted on calling the police. I now have a citation to go to court in Feb and I was wondering if I plead guily am I going to serve jail time?

Never plead guilty. If you plead not guilty the prosecutor will offer you something like diversion, counseling or community service. If you can afford to get an attorney I would recommend you do so. He may be able to negotiate an eventual dismissal.
