Legal Question in DUI Law in Nevada

Possible Punishment

I was wondering what the probable punishment (jail time, fines, community service, etc.) will be for the following three charges:

-Felony DUI (with major bodily harm, minor injuries to other people in other car)

-Possession of loaded firearm (possibly illegal firearm)

-Wreckless driving

Also, if someone has posted bail for these charges but lives in California, will they be able to leave the state?

Thank you so much for your time.

Re: Possible Punishment

Hello---Thank you for your question. Generally, in the absence of a Court Order or Agreement you have made with the authorities, the bail you post stands for and guarantees your later appearance in the Criminal Court to face charges. Thus, without some such Order/Agreement you may leave the state as long as you return to Nevada on the scheduled Court date and time. As to the charges, you do not know if you are going to be convicted of the set of charges you mention, or some lesser charges you negotiate, or possibly not being found guilty at all of anything. Your Attorney should gather all of the facts and analyse all of the evidence before that determination is made. If you would like to discuss this with a very experienced Criminal Defense Attorney, you may call me at: (562) 929-7422, or email me. I can help you. Attorney George Woodworth
