Legal Question in Entertainment Law in Nevada

I live in Las Vegas, NV and play amateur pool tournaments. Recently there has been underage kids playing in these tournaments and winning substantial amounts of cash, 10k or more in some instances. My question is can underage children pay an entry fee to enter and win cash prizes participating in Billiards or pool tournaments? Some of these kids have sponsors as well and are playing at professional level tournaments.

I'm not sure why you think this is a problem? I know lots of kids that compete in various events for cash prizes. Playing in a pool tournament is not the same as playing slot machines.

Why not just ask whoever is sponsoring the event?
