Legal Question in Family Law in Nevada

annul a divorce

marriages can be annulled. My husband and I got a divorce and realized we made a rash mistake. We were married again 3 weeks after the divorce was finalized. Is there any thing we can do to retain our original marriage date?

Re: annul a divorce

This is a tricky one. I am sure that if your divorce was less than six months ago, a court would allow the divorce decree to be voided. Between six months and one year, there are additional facts that would have to be given to the judge to have him or her to do it. After a year, it would be tough. There is the issue of double marriage, the order may have to void the marriage done after three weeks.

This is not something that I think you can do yourself as it so unusual.
