going back to maiden name

I'm not sure how to go about getting my maiden name back.Been divorced for 6 years..it is not in the divorce papers to keep it.

You can try to get your husband to agree to an amended Decree of Divorce. You would have to prepare the Amended Decree and have him sign it with an ex parte motion asking for the change. You might also be able to call the judge's law clerk and he might just allow you to submit a separate order without your husband's signature.

Finally, you can always to a Petition to Change Name.
