name change

I was divorced in 1994 and I would like to take my maiden name back could you give me a price to do this.I picked up a do it yourself kit but you need to be a lawyer to understand it.

If you were divorced in Clark County, we might be able to change it just through the Divorce Decree.

If not, then we would actually have to file a formal petition for name change. There's a court filing fee for that and a publication fee.

If you were divorced in Clark County and your ex spouse is willing to agree, an attorney could prepare a Stipulation and Order to amend the Decree of Divroce to allow the name change. Otherwise you have to do a Petition. The retainer for a name change is generally $750.00 if you use an attorney.
