Child Visitation Forcing

In the state of Nevada can a child of the age of 15 1/2 be forced against their wishes to continue his/her visitation with the noncustodial parent? I cannot find any reference in our N.R.S. .

Child Visitation Forcing

I can't answer with specific reference to Nevada, but generally speaking, IF a judge WANTS to, he can force the child to go on visitation. Some judges will find that the custodial parent is in contempt and punish that parent for contempt, other judges will order the child and the non-custodial parent in to counseling to try to work things out, or will refer the chile to Juvenile Court for delinqunecy charges for refusing to follow the court order (or the order of the custodial parent), and some judges won't do anything. Some will wnat to hear form the child and consider the child's wishes and others will refuse to let the child speak. You need to speak with an attorney THERE who knows the judge and has some idea what that judge is likely to do under the specific facts of your case.
