Legal Question in Family Law in Nevada

Emancipation

I live with my legal guardians in Reno Nevada. They are in no way biologically related to me. My mom had all of her parental rights revoked in 2007. My entire Family lives in California and my legal guardian is wanting to move to Texas. I am 16 years old and I currently have a steady job. I still currently live with my legal guardian but I recieve Social Security checks monthly due to my fathers death. My total monthly can be as high as over 1300 dollars. I was wondering what my options were reguarding not going to texas. I have had family offer to take me in but I dont think my legal guardian will agree with that. I honelstly think it would be against my best inerest to go to Texas and live 1800 miles away from my closest family member. If you can help that would be great.

Re: Emancipation

You can file a Petition For Emancipation in Family Court, but I suggest you have a plan to support yourself until you are 18.
