Legal Question in Family Law in Nevada

Is the judge right?

My ex-wife recently took me to court to make me pay some of my kid's heath bills that she neglected to pay. After my insurance covered it, the bills were only about $20.00 That's not the point, however, while in court the judge (a female) didn't let me say a single thing and at one point she told me that I should pay the bill and not ''rock the boat.'' She then turned to my ex and asked her ''Don't you think he should be paying you more.'' I already pay $200 more in child support than required by court. I think it was very unprofessional of a judge to make a suggestion such as that to my ex. I think based on that comment my ex is going to take me to court to increase child support. Was the judge within her rights to make this comment and if not what, if anything, can I do about that.

If you feel that a judge's behavior was inappropriate, you can report the inappropriate behavior to an ethic's committee that oversees judges. The Nevada Commission of Judicial Discipline can be reached at (775) 687 4017.
