Legal Question in Family Law in Nevada

In reply to the answer I recieved " If you can stipulate with your ex to alter child support, do so; if not, file a motion to reduce based on change of income. See http://www.willicklawgroup.com/child_support."

Do I file the motion as the defendent since I was originally or do I change it to the plaintiff?
