Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Nevada

How much could it cost me if someone has an accident driving my car?

I recently purchased a car for my daughter, age 18. She wants to let her boyfriend, age 20, drive her car. She is covered by our insurance, but he would be an uninsured driver, and the coverage for any accident he causes is small. She doesn't believe me when I tell her that we could be sued personally for the damage he might cause and that we could lose everything we have. Can you provide me with some specifics about how much I could be sued for and how common it is to be sued for auto accidents?
