Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Nevada

judgement after bankruptcy is filed

My ex fiance borrowed $12,000 from me and promised to pay me back. When he didn't I got a lawyer in January. We finally went to court last week. I kept telling my lawyer that my ex was going to file bankruptcy but he dragged his feet on getting to court. My ex filed for bankruptcy the day before court so the judge dismissed the case. Is there anything else I can do to get my money back? Something was mentioned about my ex listing me as an unsecured debtor. Does he have to do that or is it up to him to chose who to list?

Re: judgement after bankruptcy is filed

He has to list you if he wants to get your debt discharged.
