Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Nevada

My van was vandalized (scratched with a foreign object like a car key on all four panels) while parked in the garage at a Las Vegas Hotel Casino; I stayed in that hotel for 3 nights. Damages amounted to over $3k (body and paint work). The response from the risk managment firm for the hotel stated that the hotel "provided reasonable care in its duty to provide a safe, secure, and fun gaming environment for its customers." They do not have cameras. They use a security guard on patrol on a bicycles for the garage. Do I have a case?

I doubt it. The hotel doesn't seem to have caused the damage, and it did not become your car's insurer when you parked there. It is required to take reasonable care, which does not mean it has to do everything imaginable. It also is not required to have video surveillance or other methods of preserving evidence of third parties' crimes. The responsible party is whoever scratched your car, not the hotel.
