Legal Question in Immigration Law in Nevada

father of us child become a us citizen

I married my husband was was from morocco. We have a 3 year old child in common and now Im getting a divorce. We live in Nevada. He has not become a legal yet. Will the divorce affect him becoming legal and thus staying in the united states. I do want him to have to leave the country. I want him to have contact with his daughter.

If you filed a petition on his behalf, and you divorce, you are no longer married for purposes of his obtaining his residency through marriage. He may have to find another way to remain in the U.S.
