Re: naturalization denied
A lawful permanent resident has no right to vote in the United States. It seems to me as if you did not know that; however, in this country, ignorance of the law is no excuse, so we have to go the law itself and see if it has any exceptions into which your situation fits. It is possible that you made a mistake; of course, you citizenship application would be denied. If you appeal, you must indicate that somehow you were led to believe that you could vote, and it was not an intentional blind eye to the situation. Find a good immigration lawyer. Take care and good luck!
