If I stop making mortgage payments, what will happen?

Your lender will foreclose. Contact a realtor in your area who may be able to arrange for a short sale. It is a better alternative to foreclosure.

Your home will be foreclosed upon and auctioned at a Sheriff's sale. If there is a deficiency the mortgagee will come after you.
