Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Nevada

Neighbors abusing fence

Our new neighbor's kids have been using our wooden fence for a soccer backstop. It is causing parts of the fence to break off, split or become unstable. We have talked to them about it, and the kids stop for a short while and then begin again. How do we get them to stop for good? Who is responsible for repair or replacement of the fence? The fence was installed when the house was built 20 years ago, but is breaking only where it has been abused by them.

Re: Neighbors abusing fence

Your neighbors would be responsible for fixing the fence as long as you can show a pattern of abuse.

Typically something like this can be resolved in Small Claims or Justice Court.

If you would like to schedule a consultation with one of our attorneys to walk you through the process, we charge a $75 fee for an hourly consultation.
