Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Nevada

Blocked trust account
My minor daughter was hit in a cross walk while the driver was on a cell phone. We went through the physical therepy and the doctor and hired a laywer to get money for the dr bills and pain and suffering. The insurance company wants to settle but, they want the money to be put in a blocked trust account. I am not disagreeing with this, but i am a single mother with two other children and having a hard time making ends meet. I asked my lawyer if it would be possible for some of the money to be given to us when this is settled and the rest of the money to go into trust. He states that per nevada law the money has to go into a blocked trust account. Is this correct? And if not how can i go about having some of the money for her now.
