Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Nevada

verification of executor

My Mother passed away in Feb of this year and my Father in August of 1996.

There was no will left behind just notes as to who got what.

she never had her benificiary changed from my Father but asked Me before she died to take care of everything and the rest of the family agreed.

Her insurance company wants either: Letter of Testamentary or, Small estate affidavits or, Verification of Executor.

My question is how do I go about obtaining one of these and what must be done to execute it/them?

Re: verification of executor

You can go to a legal forms store like Nevada Legal Forms to obtain instructions and forms like an Affidavit of Probate of a Small Estate. You can also get forms for Letters Testamentary but I would recommend using a probate lawyer as this process is complicated for the layman.
