Generally speaking, a prospective waiver isn't worth the paper it is written on.

The simple answer is to carry insurance. It costs less than having to go to court and, no matter what you have someone sign, it cannot take away all liability sicne you cannot apprise someone of all risks associated with your work and, it is a question for the jury as to whether you made any misrepresentations.

Insurance is infintely less expensive than running the risk that your waiver will hold up when you are being sued by a skilled attorney. Plus, your insurance can pay for an attorney to represent you if it is covered under the policy (duty to defend).

The other attorney answer is right on point. You would be crazy to start this kind of business without insurance; waivers won't work. Consult with an attorney in your area for specifics.
