Patent name

Im trying to protect a business and or patent name. I don not have 100 dollors right now is there another way which would not cost me

If you are actually using a business name in trade or commerce, you have acquired "common law" trademark rights already. State registration is ordinarily a waste of money; federal registration is rather expensive and may be unnecessary in your circumstances.
