Reasonable offer of debt settlement

If a debtor turns over a document that

can provide full settlement of a debt, is

an attourney required to accept the

offer under New Hampshire law?

The attorney does not accept or reject the offer, their client makes that decision. If there is a debt that is due in full and an offer is made to pay less than the full amount, or to pay the amount at some later time, there is no requirement under law to accept such offer. The only way a debtor can leverage a legitimate debt and gain additional time is to seek relief thru the Bankruptcy Court.
