Legal Question in Family Law in New Hampshire

Enforcing Joint Legal Custody

Q: What is legal recourse where Custodial Parent refuses to observe (Non-Custodial Parent's) Joint Legal Custody rights concerning children; education and medical decisions?

Detail: Custodial parent dictating educational and medical welfare of children, excluding me from decision process, not sharing information, etc. when requested to do so. Issues not agreed upon by both parties, yet Custodial parent ignores and procedes with own intentions regardless of decision conflict. Have expressed opinions and concerns via US Mail Return Receipt, have record of issues. I realize she is in contempt of our divorce decree, but am mostly concerned for the well-being of the children. What steps can I take to ensure fairness and equality?

Thank you in advance for taking the time to read and respond.

Re: Enforcing Joint Legal Custody

If your ex is not abiding by the custody order, you can file a motion for contempt. Your correspondence and receipts would be evidence of this issue.
