The answer, as you might expect, is "it depends." Is the plan a private insurance plan? Is it in New Hampshire? Are you currently covered?

There is a new law in New Hampshire which took effect as of 1/1/08. It mandates that coverage be available to a divorced non-employee spouse under many circumstances. I would start by checking with the HR department at your husband's place of employment.
