Legal Question in Civil Litigation in New Hampshire

Basic simple question.

Please explain to me the difference between Civil Law and Tort Law, or are they the same?

Generally, civil law is anything other than criminal law. Tort law is one subset of civil law, dealing with private wrongs such as negligence, trespass, slander, etc. Other (non-tort) civil law matters include administrative law, contracts, real estate, etc.
