getting an insurance company to cover a prescribed drug

I have had the same insurance coverage for 20 years. The doctor prescribe meridan and the insurance company told me they only cover zanical.

How can I get the insurance company to cover meridan prescribed by my doctor?

I have had the same problem with another drug; I don't know the difference between the two drugs you cite. You probably cannot do anything but your doctor can be absolutely adamant that you get meridan, if he believes it is critical to your care. That may still not be enough. Welcome to the world of managed care.
