Legal Question in Real Estate Law in New Hampshire

I live in NH. My mother owned land and a mobile home in Maine. She passed away in 2004 and did not leave a will. She has two biological children and one step-daughter. The step-daughter moved the mobile home off the property and is now renting out the land which someone else has moved a mobile home onto. The step-daughter has sent me (biological son) a quit claim deed which I do want to sign. She has now sold the property to someone without my knowledge or consent - what are my rights??

Under what authority did the step-daughter transfer the property? Without either owning the property, or being appointed the Administrator of the Estate, she should not have been able to transfer the property. You should seek an attorney's advice in this matter. You will need an attorney who is licensed in Maine.
