Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in New Hampshire

My mother has been appointedd guardian of my 18 year old son mostly for educational purposes. I did not apply because i had a past felony and did not want to slow the process before his 18th birthday. We now need to have a power of attorney for making decisions abou my son's educational situation in the absences of my mother let's say she is out of town/state on business and he needs something done. Can we draw up a limited power of attoreny to make decisions in her absence without going back to court.

The authority to act on behalf of your son was granted by the court and can only be modified by the court. You did not indicate the reason for the guardianship so it's a bit difficult to go further. I must assume that he his under enough of a disabilty that he can not make decisions on his own.

The underlying question is exactly what rights the court limited to your son and transferred to your mother.
