Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in New Hampshire

will legality

If in a will it states that a person can reside in shared home for six months. Is it 6 months from date of death or from date will is entered into probate?

Re: will legality

Unfortunately, I am unable to offer a definitive response without seeing the will and the context of the bequest. I can see arguments in both directions.

I am also unsure what you mean by a "shared home." That is not a legal term. I would need to know how title to the house was held.

I would suggest that it would be worthwhile to hire an attorney to examine the facts unique to your case.

This may be something that you will need a court to decide. You should contact a probate attorney with all the relevant information including a copy of the will.
