Legal Question in Tax Law in New Jersey

Who gets the tax revenue?

I leased an item over the internet from a leasing agent located in NJ. The item was shipped from the vendor located in South Carolina and possession taken in the state of Arizona. Must the leasing agent collect NJ tax from the recipient in Arizona? Note again, the item leased never entered the state of New Jersey and the vendor is located in South Carolina.

The leasing agent is Wells Fargo in New Jersey.

Re: Who gets the tax revenue?

I specialize in Arizona tax and can help you with at least the Arizona end and probably NJ too although that will take more work. I also need more facts and will have to set you up as a client, do a conflict check and so forth. The Arizona portion would probably be an hour of time at most and the NJ maybe 2-3 although I can't be sure. I'm $220 an hour.

Thank you.
