Lawyers as notary publics

I live in NJ and an attorney told me that lawyers in NJ can notarize documents without a seal. I want to be sure as I never heard of this,

why would you not believe a licensed lawyer, but would believe whatever I put on this site?

Yes Lic. Attorneys in NJ can act as notaries, it comes with being an officer of the court.
