Legal Question in Admiralty Law in New Jersey

Legal procedure question?

I am involved in a admiralty case as the plaintiff. My attorney advised me I am having a non jury trial in chambers with the judge.

My attorney is going to deposition a defendents witness the day before the non jury trial/hearing.

Why would this be so close to the hearing just one day before?

Can someone explain this Admiralty procedure? Good or bad!

RTS

Re: Legal procedure question?

Your lawyer needs to explain this to you. Depositions can occur at any time the judge allows.
