Child support and Bankruptcy

My step daughter's father is filing for ch7 bankruptcy. She is 10 is his child support considered dischargeable? We received a notice in the main.

Child support is not dischargeable. Someone who files bankruptcy must list all creditors on his/her petition, which is why you (or your spouse) received a notice in the mail so that you were aware of the filing. If you have any further questions about this, feel free to give me a call.
