Re: New Jersey Law Fund

On behalf of me and my colleagues, I appologize to you. The great majority of lawyers will treat you fairly and do the work for which they have been paid. For the execptions, the Supreme Court provides a number of remedies including a system of low-cost, fee arbitration which is mandatory for the law firm.

If your Zip-code is accurate, you live in Belleville, Essex County. The Secretary of the District Fee Arbitration Committee for your area is Marc D. Garfinkle, 2070 Millburn Ave, Maplewood, NJ 07040. He can be reached in area 973 at 2751313. His staff will send you the forms necessary to initiate an arbitration complaint. Explain your problem clearly and succinctly to the Committee and I am sure that you will be treated fairly.

Re: New Jersey Law Fund

I have read what John Corbett wrote, and I agree. I am sorry that you have been badly treated by an attorney. Most of us (let us hope almost every one) are careful and responsible; dishonest lawyers are horrible.

I will go a step further than John. If you would like, come to my office, bring all of your papers, and I will review them. If appropriate, I will make one very short, unpleasant telephone call on your behalf. For free. I would NOT become 'your lawyer' for this bankruptcy, but only urge the attorney to return your money now. Today. not tomorrow, today.

Dishonest idiots such as you describe should be stamped out.

My contact information can be obtained from the links below, just click on the Attorney Profile link. Let my secretary know you found me through LawGuru.

Re: New Jersey Law Fund

I agree with the other attorneys. While there are many great lawyers out there, I see too many lawyers who take low retainers and sell the client out ASAP. This never happens at my office and please do not let your experience taint your opinion of the profession.
