If a company accepts part of a payment after a bounced check can they than have you arrested?

I agree with the other attorney. Your question does not seem to be worded properly as I'm not sure what you mean by part of a payment. Regardless, if you think you may face criminal charges, I suggest you get an attorney ASAP.

The way that question is put makes it difficult to answer. No one can make the state arrest you. Similarly, the state does not care what a company does later between you and the company. A bounced check is a bounced check. And, it's the INTENTIONAL writing of checks on insufficient funds that is illegal, so if you are arrested and prosecuted, we can help in your defense.
