Legal Question in Business Law in New Jersey

I am a US permanent resident, but need to reside in India for a few months. If I create an LLC in USA can I provide services for a US company while residing in India temporarily?. I will pay appropriate taxes in both jurisdictions but want to know if the US company will be without any liability in India.

The LLC would be liable for acts in places where it does business. If it does no business in India, it is not subject to suit in India. When forming the LLC in the USA, you will need to designate a Registered Agent for the LLC who is present in the jurisdication where the LLC has been formed and able to be served with process here. My firm handles matters of this type. If I can be of further help to you, call or email. See also: http://info.corbettlaw.net/lawguru.htm

The other attorney is right on point here. You should also speak with an international law specialist to see what your exposure will be in India. This is not a simple bulletin board type question. Consult with an attorney in your area for specifics.
