posting pictures online?

If someone posts pictures online without your permission and then under those pictures writes something bad about you can they be sued for this?

If they post pictures of you without your permission, it is an invasion of your privacy -- a constitutional right. If it is a statement that misrepresents facts about you, you might very well have a defamation claim. If it is an opinion they are expressing, it may not be a defamation claim.
