Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in New Jersey

retainers

I recently retained a lawyer to pursue a civil suit but have changed my mind and do not wish to proceed. Can I get back my retainer minus work done?

Yes, you can recover what remains of your retainer fee minus any expenses (court costs, attorney fees etc.) incurred in pursing your case.
