Rights on Co-signing for someone

Do I have any rights as I co-signed for the financing of a motorcycle for my now ex-boyfriend, and he is not making the payments? Is there any way I could get my name removed from the loan?

Re: Rights on Co-signing for someone

You can, of course, sue your ex-boyfriend for any payments you make or for any damage to your credit score resulting from his failure to make payments on the motorcycle you helped him finance. Unless the loan is re-financed into his name alone, the lender could hold you liable for the payment since, by co-signing, you agreed that you would both be responsible for paying the loan.
