Legal Question in Technology Law in New Jersey

Domain Web Address Stolen

Our website address had apparently expired, we did not receive a notice from our hosting company and/or a registrar company notifying us that our domain address was up for renewal. How we found out it was sold out from under us is that we had a DNS pointer issue with our email and the registrar and hosting company both claim no responsibility. We tried to fight it and came up empty, now I find out the domain address is for sale for the low cost of $700. I have tried to fight this again but to no avail. Therefore, I need to find out what our legal recourse is and how to properly find a lawyer who specializes in Internet law. Please help!!! We are a small company that has relied a lot on this web address.

WHo did you fight with? You should file for arbitration with the company that registered your name. Usually, there is an arbitration clause when you signed on. I have handled these personally. HOwever, it is probably cheaper to pay the 700 than to litigate.
