Is it legal to post a message left on your answering machine on the internet?

Yes.There is nothing inherently private about a message left on an answering machine by another.

If you take the message and post it, you are not violating the privacy of anyone, just as anyone could hear it in your presence when you played it back.

I wouldn't try to make money off of it, but that's a different issue.
