Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in New Jersey

My daughter asked if I could get a cellphone for her friend and put it on my account. She would pay for the service, which she did until she made calls that put me over my monthly limit. I was limited to 1400 peak per month and she used 2100. My bill would not have gone over if she did not do this. They are trying to tell me they are not responsible for the overcharge, I say they are. Can I collect this money?

You would have to show the usage history prior to their being on the account and how many minutes they actually used. You may very well be entitled to be reimbursed by them, but, depending on how much money you are owed, it may cost more in time and expense to collect it in small claims court.
