Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in New Jersey

I live in NJ, my husband and his partner formed an LLC for real estate purposes. They did incur an outstanding bill with an attorney who is now suing the LLD for payment.

Last year my husband left me and moved out of the country back to DK, he emptied our bank acct and wired funds to himself there.

We are not divorced because I cannot afford the process. I had abosolutely NOTHING to do with this LLC co, and have my bank acct in my name only...also my vehicle. We have no real estate left, he sold it before running away. Can I be held liable for this debt? His partner still has a real estate co in the state.

On the facts as you describe them, you are not liable on the debt of the LLC. /p/ See also: http://info.corbettlaw.net/lawguru.htm
