In new NJ how do you prevent a credit card company from levying your bank accounts and can they do anything to your home or the contents

You can possibly file Bankruptcy to stop the levy. If you do nothing, the creditor can garnish wages, freeze bank accounts and do a sheriff sale of your household contents to satisfy the debt. Filing Bankruptcy would stop all collection activity against you including stopping all of the above as well as harassing phone calls.
