Legal Question in Criminal Law in New Jersey

I was arrested for prescription fraud. I was nowhere near my car when the arrest happened. I was in the store, police escorted me to the patrol car. My car was parked in the parking lot of a strip mall where the pharmacy is located. Police asked me if I drove...i said yes and thay wanted to know which car was mine. I told them. They asked permission to search my car. I said yes, only because the police said it would not be impounded. Now they are filing for forfeiture... The only items found in the car were prescription blanks and one bottle of prescription meds. What are my options for getting my car back??

First, worry about your criminal charges. Then worry about your car. Call an attorney to discuss both. 732/773/2768
