Legal Question in Criminal Law in New Jersey

cocaine

How guilty is a middle man in a 1/2 ounce cocaine deal? No physical evidence remains but several descriptive text messages on middle mans phone. Seller turned in middle man but middle man will not turn in supplier...can middle man do jail time based on text messages alone?

Re: cocaine

Each case is unique, and I would need to see the evidence before I could give a full answer to this question. However, in general, it sounds like the middle-man can be charged with conspiracy to distribute a controlled dangerous substance. This could potentially result in state prison time and very high fines. I am an attorney who has handled many cases similar to yours in various courts throughout New Jersey in the past. Please contact me to discuss your case in more detail. I never charge for simply talking to a person about their case. Thank you.

Sincerely yours, -Ronald Aronds, Esq.-
