Legal Question in Criminal Law in New Jersey

I am looking to try to find an attorney for my son who is locked up in phoenix az. He was to return home on March 27, 2014. He was presently living with a woman down there and it was not working out. As he preceded to go for his clothes and things. She attacked him. They got in a struggle and he suffer to broken finger along with other thing. In defending him he was told he broke her jaw.
